To assemble the list, TIME solicited nominations across sectors and polled its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts. TIME editors then evaluated each company on key factors including impact, innovation, ambition, and success.

Two recent advances anchor CMT’s recognition. The same engagement is producing measurable environmental impact. Through AI-powered feedback and behavioral programs, CMT has helped drivers reduce carbon emissions by 3.6 million metric tons, equivalent to removing approximately 790,000 cars from the road each year.
