Cambridge Mobile Telematics Announces Partnership with Elite Sprinter Samirah Moody
Cambridge, MA, February 24, 2026 — Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world’s largest telematics provider, today announced a new brand partnership with Samirah Moody, one of the fastest-rising sprint talents in U.S. track and field and a longtime member of the CMT community.
Moody, a professional American sprinter competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters, has quickly emerged as one of the top sprinters in the country. In 2025, she captured the NCAA Outdoor Championship title in the 100 meters, led University of Southern California’s national championship 4×100 meter relay, and recorded some of the fastest times in USC history. She currently ranks inside the top 60 globally in both events according to World Athletics.
Before competing on the national stage, Moody was introduced to CMT through an internship, where she gained firsthand exposure to world-class technology, mobility data, and performance-driven problem-solving. The work at CMT helped shape her commitment to preparation, consistency, and continuous improvement, values that have carried through her athletic career.
“Samirah has been part of the CMT family for years, and we saw early on what makes her different,” said William V. Powers, Co-Founder and CEO of CMT. “She showed up prepared, asked hard questions, and held herself to a high standard every day. These are the same values that shape how our teams work at CMT. We believe progress comes from discipline, consistency, and doing the work when no one’s watching. We’re excited to see the impact Samirah will have as a CMT Brand Ambassador, leading by example and reaching people in a meaningful way.”
A Boston-area native who attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, Moody set New England high school records in both the 100 meters and 200 meters before heading west to USC. Her collegiate career has included major breakthroughs, recovery from knee surgery, and steady progression fueled by mental toughness and self-belief.
“Speed is something I train for every day,” said Moody. “But focus is what keeps everything together. Whether I’m racing, training, or driving, it’s about staying locked in, trusting the work, and doing the right things in the moment. CMT has been part of my journey for years. This partnership combines our strengths to inspire the next generation of leaders and champions.”
Through the partnership, CMT and Moody will collaborate on content and appearances centered on performance, determination, and self-improvement. Moody will also work with CMT to highlight pathways into technology for young women, drawing on her personal experiences with the company. She will also share insights from her training as an elite athlete, including how she builds focus, blocks out self-doubt, and pushes through setbacks.
