Cambridge Mobile Telematics Announces The Visionaries of Mobility Summit: Monaco
The third event in CMT’s global series brings together leaders shaping the future of transportation and road safety across Europe and beyond

Cambridge, MA, May 20, 2025 — Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world’s largest telematics service provider, today announced The Visionaries of Mobility Summit: Monaco. Held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the iconic Fairmont Monte Carlo, the summit brings together senior leaders from insurance, mobility, and technology to shape the next era of intelligent transportation and road safety.
“The Visionaries of Mobility Summits are building momentum across the world. We’ve hosted summits in Las Vegas on generative AI and road safety programs, and in Riyadh on smart infrastructure and AI-powered crash prediction and prevention. Now, we’re bringing the conversation to Europe in Monaco,” said William V. Powers, Co-Founder & CEO of CMT. “With mobility data fueling everything from smart cities and safer vehicles to Level 4 autonomy and life-saving infrastructure, Visionaries is becoming a premier event for leaders shaping the future of transportation. We’re just getting started.”
Europe is at a pivotal moment in its mobility transformation. Urban congestion, aging infrastructure, and decarbonization are colliding with traffic deaths and safety progress. In 2023, road crashes killed an estimated 20,400 people across the EU, with 46 deaths per 1 million residents according to the European Commission. While the EU has committed to cutting fatalities below 9,400 by 2030, progress has slowed, putting the goal in jeopardy. At the same time, sweeping regulations, from Vision Zero targets to the General Safety Regulation, are pushing for safer roads and smarter vehicles. The Visionaries of Mobility Summit: Monaco will cover these challenges, exploring how mobility data, AI, and telematics can help leaders reduce crashes, modernize infrastructure, and build a safer, more sustainable transport system.
In addition to William Powers, featured speakers for Visionaries: Monaco include Dr. Hari Balakrishnan, CMT Co-Founder & CTO, 2023 Marconi Prize Winner, and Fujitsu Professor of Computer Science and AI at MIT, who will deliver a keynote on how AI and sensor intelligence are transforming mobility and road safety. Ben King, Co-Team Principal of Team Brady in the E1 Championship, will share insights on clean technology and the RaceBird platform that’s redefining electric water transportation. Simon Collis, the summit’s host and former UK Ambassador, will bring a diplomatic perspective to global transportation challenges. More speakers will be announced soon.
The summit takes place alongside the Monaco stop of the UIM E1 World Championship, the world’s first all-electric raceboat series. As an official sponsor of Team Brady, CMT will provide Visionaries: Monaco guests with an exclusive rooftop viewing of the E1 race experience.
